Emilie Abbiss


Emilie is a Yoga Teacher, Wellness Entrepreneur and Journalist. She runs a boutique wellbeing business, The Shed at Dalmore Farm, from her family’s organic farm in the SW wine region of Western Australia. Providing a continuing calendar of retreats, workshops and wellness events, Emilie also operates a fulltime Yoga studio and Personal Training business with a specific focus on assisting clients with complete lifestyle overhauls.

Emilie has a specific interest in the application of Yoga Therapy for those facing mental health challenges, and has spent time working in post-conflict zones and refugee communities using Yoga to alleviate symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Emilie works extensively with clients confronting anxiety, depression and general stress and has formatted systemic approaches combining Yoga and general fitness training to improve these conditions.

Emilie is a Registered Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia having completed over 1000 hours of Yoga training across her 20 years of practice. She is a Stott-trained Pilates Instructor and a Personal Trainer. She is currently pursuing additional certification in Nutritional Medicine. Emilie is also a freelance journalist who works for a variety of wellness and non-wellness related publications. She has a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
